The track "Song of the Desert" was written by legendary composer Hans Zimmer.
Timothée Chalamet sings a melody that transitions into a warlike chant in the first track from the soundtrack for the film *Dune: Part Three*. The track “Song of the Desert” was written by composer Hans Zimmer, who worked on the music for the previous installments of the sci-fi saga, according to Variety.
In the third film, Chalamet will once again play Paul Atreides. The story will take place 17 years after the conclusion of the previous film and will focus on the consequences of the hero’s ascension to the imperial throne. The plot is based on Frank Herbert’s novel *Dune Messiah*. Paul’s world is growing increasingly bleak, and his visions of the future are becoming less and less clear.
For Zimmer, returning to Arrakis is tied to personal memories. As a teenager, the composer was so captivated by Herbert’s book that, years later, he found a kindred spirit in director Denis Villeneuve.
“When two teenagers are deeply captivated by the same novel, which gives free rein to their imaginations, they are bound to meet and become creative kindred spirits,” Zimmer said.
The film will also feature Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Florence Pugh, and Anya Taylor-Joy. Robert Pattinson and Isaac de Bankolé have joined the cast.
