Seven documents totaling €300 million were signed.
Ukraine and Finland signed seven cooperation agreements totaling approximately 300 million euros.
This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy announced the continuation of cooperation with the Finnish government and Prime Minister Petteri Orpo. According to him, the parties agreed on a new support package for Ukraine and signed seven documents that expand opportunities for cooperation between the countries.
“Today, we are continuing our work with Finland—it is very substantive. Specifically, we are working with the Finnish government—with Prime Minister Petteri Orpo. Thank you for this cooperation and for the strong relationship between our countries,” the President of Ukraine emphasized.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine has agreed to make more active use of Finland’s satellite capabilities. This is important for the country’s defense and resilience. In this regard, the parties have agreed to cooperate with the companies Nokia and ICEYE.
Finland is also ready to support Ukraine’s logistics and energy sectors. This involves increasing the number of locomotives, supplying energy equipment, and funding the protection of energy infrastructure.
“These are key objectives for Russia right now, and the fact that we will have more locomotives, more energy equipment, and more resources to protect our energy sector—this will truly help,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
The day before, the Ukrainian president reported that Finland is preparing new measures to support Ukraine.
