Military Expert: The Ukrainian Armed Forces Have Changed The Situation On The Front Lines

This opens up opportunities for counteroffensive operations.

Military expert Sergey Grabsky believes that the Defense Forces are shifting to more active operations on the front lines.

Grabsky explained how the Ukrainian Armed Forces are managing to eliminate more and more enemy personnel when the enemy does not launch all-out assaults but instead infiltrates in small groups: “It’s very simple. There’s a concept called ‘ergonomics’ that describes the interaction between humans and various mechanisms. When you have, say, one operator, and this operator controls, say, one drone, then, accordingly, he hits one target over a certain period of time, whereas there are many more targets—meaning they could pass right by him. Right now, let’s say ten operators have to face off against, say, two hundred adversaries.”

The military expert shared his perspective on the changes currently taking place on the front lines in an interview with Radio NV on YouTube.

“We have reached a point where we have what ensures our stability in a strategic defense scenario. This suggests that we are transitioning to a specific phase of strategic defense, where the enemy has been practically halted and is unable to continue active offensive operations,” explained Grabsky.

At the same time, the reserve colonel noted: “To give you an idea, our strategic defense has been ongoing since the fall of 2023, and only now, three years later, are we reaching the point where we have moved from the phase of active resistance against the enemy and attempts to hold our positions to wear down the enemy, to the phase of halting the enemy and forcing it to go on the defensive. Going forward, we can already begin planning some of our own counteroffensive operations within the framework of our strategic defense.”
