Most Americans are concerned about corruption in his administration.
Nearly 70% of U.S. voters are concerned about corruption and conflicts of interest in the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump.
This is according to a poll by Financial Times.
With just days to go before the midterm elections, corruption has become the main source of discontent among Americans: a significant majority of U.S. voters said they are concerned about corruption in the Trump administration.
The poll results show that about 69% of registered voters and nearly 50% of those who voted for the president in 2024 said they were “very” or “to some extent” concerned about “corruption, abuse of office, or conflicts of interest” in the Trump administration.
In addition, as noted, nearly half of all registered voters indicated that corruption has become a more serious problem during Trump’s second term compared to previous administrations.
Furthermore, the poll shows that about 54% of voters believe that either the Trump administration or Republicans in Congress bear the greatest responsibility for the rising prices Americans are currently facing.
Even more alarming for Republicans is that more than 40% of respondents noted that rising prices have increased the likelihood that they will vote for Democrats in the midterm elections.
The survey was conducted online by Focaldata, an independent research firm based in London, from October 16–18. It reflects the opinions of 1,648 registered voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.8 percentage points.
