Zelenskyy Revealed Details Of Emotional Negotiations With The U.S.

Two out of three issues have been resolved.
Ukraine has secured the resumption of full-scale operation of the Starlink and Starshield satellite systems, as well as the exchange of intelligence with the United States. However, the issue of air defense systems deliveries remains on the agenda. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about this in an interview with the host “TSN.Tyzhden” Alla Mazur.
According to the head of state, the talks with the Americans were productive, although they were accompanied by emotional discussions. As a result, the parties managed to resolve two of the three key issues.
“We’ve reached a point where we’ve gotten back what we need,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
One of the outcomes of the agreements was the lifting of restrictions on the operation of satellite systems. The president reported that the Ukrainian side tested their operation overnight. At approximately 5:20 a.m. on October 25, Starlink and Starshield resumed full-scale operations. According to him, the speed limit increased to 420 km/h, whereas previously it had been capped at approximately 160 km/h.
Another important outcome was the resumption of full-scale intelligence sharing with the United States. As the president explained, Ukraine has been receiving relevant information for three days now, in particular thanks to the early warning system for Russian ballistic missile strikes.
“Today, thanks to the Americans and our team, I can confirm that two issues have been resolved for now,” said the head of state.
At the same time, one of the key issues remains unresolved. This concerns the shortage of air defense systems, the need for which remains urgent for Ukraine. It was precisely this issue that Zelenskyy identified as the third problem discussed during the meetings.
“We still have the issue of air defense. This was one of the topics of our discussions,” the president noted.
It should be noted that if the Democrats win the U.S. congressional elections, the country’s foreign policy may change. In particular, it may become possible to resume financial and military support for Ukraine directly from the U.S. budget.
