Netanyahu's bloc is currently ahead of its opponents.

In the Israeli elections, the bloc of supporters of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently ahead of its opponents. At the same time, vote counting is still underway, so the preliminary distribution of seats in parliament may still change.

This information comes from data from Israel’s Central Elections Committee.

As of 7:57 a.m. on October 28, with 57.36% of the ballots counted, the bloc of Netanyahu’s supporters—which includes Likud, Shas, “Otzma Yehudit,” “Yahadut HaTorah,” and “Religious Zionism” – “Zeut,” is tentatively projected to win 5 seats.

The bloc opposing the prime minister—specifically the Yashar, Beyahad, Democrats, and Our Home Israel parties—holds 49 seats.

According to preliminary data, another 16 seats go to the Arab parties “United List” and Ra’am.

Thus, supporters of the incumbent prime minister lead their opponents by six seats. However, these figures are not final: the results will be updated as ballots are counted.

Which parties have not yet cleared the electoral threshold

In Israel, parties must receive at least 3.25% of the vote to enter the Knesset. According to preliminary results released by the commission, several political parties have not yet reached the required threshold.

Specifically, “The Reservists” have 2.6%, “The People of Israel” has 1.7%, and “Haredi Public” has 0.2%.

If these parties fail to clear the threshold based on the final tally, they will not receive seats in parliament.

As a reminder, parliamentary elections were held in Israel on October 27. Initial exit polls showed a slight lead for the opposition, but updated results indicated that Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition could match or even surpass its opponents by two seats.

Voter turnout was 77.7%—the highest since 1999.
