Russia Struck The North Bridge In Kyiv

On the morning of October 3, Russian forces struck the North Bridge in Kyiv. Prior to that, explosions were heard in the Ukrainian capital amid threats from attack drones.
This was reported by Charter97.org citing Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
At around 6:38 a.m., an air raid alert was issued in Kyiv due to the threat of drones, and explosions were soon heard throughout the city. At approximately 6:56 a.m., it was reported that the Northern Bridge had been hit.
Emergency services are heading to the scene. The consequences of the strike are being assessed.

Due to the closure of the Northern Bridge, buses No. 21, 73, 101, 114, and trolleybuses No. 29, 30, 31, and 47 are experiencing delays, according to “Kyivpastrans.”

Vitali Klitschko reported that the road surface and the trolleybus overhead wires were damaged as a result of the strike on the Northern Bridge. Traffic across the bridge from the left bank to the right bank has been blocked.
In recent days, the Russians have been systematically targeting Kyiv’s bridges. The South Bridge was first struck on October 1, when it was attacked by two drones. That same evening, an attack damaged the support structure, the road surface, and the subway’s protective barrier.
On the night of October 2, the enemy struck the South Bridge again, and attacked it once more during the day.
