Zelenskyy Put Pressure On Fire Point Over The Missile

It has to reach Moscow.

This week, Ukraine reported the first combat use of its own domestically produced FP-7 ballistic missile, which has a range of approximately 250 km.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he called the manufacturer, Fire Point, to put pressure on management and speed up the completion of work on the longer-range FP-9 model, capable of reaching Moscow. “I asked them: Where is my FP-9? We need the FP-9. And the FP-9 will be (ready) this fall; I’m sure of it,” the Ukrainian leader said in an interview Reuters.

He also added that Ukraine will double its attacks on Russian oil refineries in response to Moscow’s new airstrike policy, which aims to force Ukrainians to flee Kyiv and other cities.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian intelligence has obtained documents indicating that Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin has issued a “new doctrine” for military strikes against a much broader range of civilian targets ahead of winter.

“We have seen the documents and know that they authorize them to attack infrastructure, logistics, roads, schools, and hospitals in order to force people to leave the capital and other cities,” Zelenskyy said. “That is the goal of the operation.”

According to Zelenskyy, the reason for this policy shift was Putin’s desire to appear strong at a time when his army is losing ground in one of the key regions on the front and suffering heavier casualties.
