But November has a "surprise" in store.

In Belarus, the last days of October will be 1–3 degrees warmer than the climate norm, but a cold snap is expected as early as the beginning of November. At night, temperatures will drop to minus 3 degrees in some areas, with rain, possible fog, and light freezing rain. This forecast was issued by Belhydromet.

According to meteorologists, thanks to an area of high atmospheric pressure and the influx of moderately warm air, unseasonably warm weather will persist in the country during the last days of October. Overnight temperatures will range from 1 to 7 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperatures from 6 to 12 degrees.

“October 2020 is unlikely to surpass the monthly average temperature of 10.5 degrees, of course, but it has every chance of making it into the top five warmest Octobers in Belarus. Then November will arrive, bringing a cooling trend and returning temperatures to their seasonal norm,” Belhydromet reported.

Nighttime temperatures are expected to range from minus 3 to plus 6 degrees, and daytime temperatures from 2 to 11 degrees above zero. There will be occasional rain; fog is possible in some areas at night and in the morning, and light freezing rain may occur on the coldest nights.

On Friday, October 30, brief showers will occur in some parts of the country. Light fog is possible in some areas at night and in the morning. Nighttime temperatures will range from 1 to 7 degrees above zero, and daytime temperatures from 7 to 12 degrees.

On Saturday, October 31, brief showers are expected across most of Belarus. Light fog is possible in some areas at night and in the morning. Temperatures at night will range from 1 to 7 degrees above zero, and during the day from 6 to 11 degrees Celsius.

On Sunday, November 1, brief showers will occur in some areas. Fog and light freezing rain are possible in some areas at night and in the morning. Nighttime temperatures will range from minus 1 to plus 6 degrees, and daytime temperatures from 4 to 11 degrees above zero.

On Monday, November 2, rain is expected mainly in the eastern half of the country. Fog and light freezing rain are possible in some areas at night and in the morning. Temperatures at night will range from minus 1 to plus 6 degrees, and during the day from 4 to 9 degrees above zero.

On Tuesday, November 3, brief showers will occur in some parts of the country. Fog and light freezing rain are possible at night and in the morning. Nighttime temperatures will range from minus 2 to plus 5 degrees, and daytime temperatures from 3 to 9 degrees above zero.

On Wednesday, November 4, light, brief precipitation—mostly rain—is expected in some areas, primarily in northeastern Belarus. Light fog and black ice are possible in some areas at night and in the morning. Nighttime temperatures will range from minus 3 to plus 4 degrees, and daytime temperatures from 2 to 9 degrees above zero.
