Peskov: Putin Complained That No One Calls Him

The Kremlin is waiting for a call from a "negotiator" from Europe.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is allegedly “open to dialogue” with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and indeed “with everyone.”
This statement was made by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, according to Dialog.UA.
Peskov stated in a comment to “Yunashev Live” that Putin is ready for a phone call with everyone, including Macron and Merz. At the same time, the Russian dictator’s spokesperson complained that “no one has called yet.”
Putin is currently trying by any means necessary to achieve a breakthrough in diplomatic relations with Western countries, which were significantly undermined in 2022 due to the Russian army’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
To this end, on October 9, he struck a deal with U.S. President Donald Trump, promising to sell 5 million metric tons of Russian diesel fuel on the global market—primarily in the U.S.—at a low price.
In late October, Putin received a call from Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Støre. In their view, Europe needs a channel for dialogue with Russia. In addition, the Scandinavian leaders discussed with the Kremlin leader the conditions for ending Russia’s war against Ukraine and European security.
