The Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery Is On Fire In 11 Different Locations

Excessively high levels of hydrogen sulfide have been recorded in Samara, Russia.
Drones attacked an oil refinery in Novokuybyshevsk, Russia. This oil refinery is among the top 20 in Russia; in its best years, its production capacity was about 8.8 million metric tons of oil per year. Photos from the scene show that the refinery is on fire in several places at once. “Focus” has compiled everything that is known.
ASTRA’s OSINT analysis confirmed that it is indeed the refinery that is on fire. In addition to gasoline and diesel fuel, the Novokuybyshevsk refinery also produces jet fuel for the Russian Aerospace Forces, but Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev stated in his address that “civilian infrastructure” had been attacked. This statement, like the previous one in which he claimed that air defense systems were repelling a drone attack, was issued by the head of the Samara Region with a significant delay, without ever explicitly stating what was on fire in the city or what exactly had been attacked.
Currently, photos and videos from the scene show that smoke has blanketed the sky over Novokuybyshevsk. Flights at local airports have been canceled or delayed for several hours.
Meanwhile, local media report that in Samara, 22 km from Novokuybyshevsk, “extremely high levels of hydrogen sulfide” have been recorded.
The plant had previously been attacked on multiple occasions, including at least on September 1 and August 22. Following the strikes on April 18, the plant shut down both of its primary oil refining units—AVT-11 and AVT-9.
Also, on the night of October 30, drones struck a large facility in the Bryansk Region that produces canned food for the Russian army.
