The Ukrainian Company Fire Point Has Found A Way To Launch Long-range Strikes Against Russia Without Starlink

Special technical solutions have been developed.

The Ukrainian arms manufacturer Fire Point has developed technical solutions that enable long-range strike missions to be carried out on the territory of the Russian Federation and in temporarily occupied territories without using Starlink satellite communications.

This was stated in an interview with Reuters by the company’s CEO Irina Terekh.

According to her, the Fire Point systems were originally designed with the possibility of no satellite communication in mind. The developers prioritized autonomous navigation that does not rely on external signals.

“Fire Point systems are designed to complete their mission without satellite communication. The priority is navigation that operates without any external signals,” she explained.

However, the company’s CEO declined to disclose specific technical details about how to work around recent issues related to Starlink’s operation, though she noted that current technical capabilities allow for the implementation of only a portion of the system’s potential functionality.

“We’ve found a way to technologically overcome this problem, but it probably covers only 15–20% of what we could do if Starlink were operational (over Russian territory—ed.),” she said.

According to Terekh, full access to satellite systems over Russian territory could transform Ukraine’s capabilities to strike key military targets. As an example, she cited Russian ballistic missile launchers.

In the same interview, Terekh spoke about a new tactical ballistic missile developed by Fire Point.

According to her, this weapon could serve as an additional tool for defending Ukrainian cities that are under Russian shelling.
