The distance to the target from the Ukrainian border was about 500 km.

The Security Service of Ukraine stated that on the night of October 4, it shot down two Russian fighter jets at the Khanskaya military airfield in the Republic of Adygea (Russian Federation)—a Su-35 and a Su-34.

This was reported in a statement by the SBU on Sunday, October 4.

The statement noted that the distance to the target from the Ukrainian border is approximately 500 km.

Specifically, drones from the SBU’s Alpha Special Operations Center struck:

the Su-35—a multi-role fighter considered one of the most advanced combat aircraft of the aggressor state, the Russian Federation (its export value is approximately $100 million);

A Su-34—a fighter-bomber that is a key aircraft in Russia’s tactical aviation (export value: approximately $50 million).

An ammunition depot on the grounds of the Khanskaya airfield was also struck.

Both of the aircraft struck carry guided aerial bombs (KABs), which Russian aggressors are using extensively on the front lines and against Ukrainian cities.
