The reigning Belarusian soccer champion, “ML Vitebsk,” has announced the appointment of Spanish coach Juan Díaz as head coach. The 48-year-old coach has already begun working with the team.
From 2018 to 2025, Díaz worked within the Sevilla organization. In the 2022–23 season, he won the Europa League title.
As head coach, he led Rodina to the Russian FNL title in the 2025–26 season. Under his leadership, the team earned promotion to the Russian Premier League for the first time in its history.
Previously, the Russian coach of "ML Vitebsk" was fired for drunkenness.
