A Russian construction company reported this.

Russian cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky , a native of Belarus , and space tourist Marina Vasilevskaya welcomed a daughter in July. The news was reported by the Russian construction company “KSK,” with which the couple collaborates.

“A wonderful event has taken place in the family of our friends, cosmonauts Oleg Novitsky and Marina Vasilevskaya. The couple welcomed a daughter. The baby was born on July 17 at 3:34 p.m. Weight: 3,950 g. Height: 54 cm,” KSK reported.

It became known last year that the couple had married, when a tour guide told visitors to the Cosmonautics Museum in the agricultural town of Tomashovka, Brest District, about it.

Marina Vasilevskaya, whom the authorities call “Belarus’s first female cosmonaut,” is space tourist.

It usually takes 5–7 years to train a cosmonaut, yet Marina Vasilevskaya was trained in just 6 months. The explanation is simple: Marina was trained not as a real cosmonaut, but as a space tourist.
