In the Russian capital, preparations are underway for attacks on shopping centers.
Moscow is preparing for possible attacks on combined heat and power plants (CHP) ahead of the heating season. On October 7, a public page close to Russian security agencies reported this, citing a source “Cheka OGPU” on social network X.
According to the source, Moscow Deputy Mayor Pyotr Biryukov recently held a “closed-door” meeting with the heads of all thermal power plants.
“He literally shouted that every director would bear personal responsibility—including criminal liability—if a sabotage incident occurred at a thermal power plant or if it were damaged as a result of a drone attack. He wouldn’t even hear any objections—such as the fact that the managers cannot install their own air defense systems, or that, in any case, the Russian National Guard is currently responsible for the security of these facilities. He cited information from the intelligence services,” the source said.
“VChK OGPU” added that last weekend, large-scale emergency drills were conducted at Thermal Power Plant No. 23, involving helicopters and rescue services.
