Fuel prices in the country should go down.
French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced plans to release 10 million barrels of diesel fuel from reserves, according to French media reports.
Le Cornu stated that, in his estimation, releasing this amount of diesel should lower prices at French gas stations by 12–18 euro cents per liter of fuel. He said the plan is designed to last three months.
In early October, it was reported that the G7 countries would release 100 million barrels of petroleum products, including diesel fuel, from their reserves to combat the energy crisis.
