The Administration Of A University In Gomel Accidentally Leaked A Photo Of A Classified Facility

The military town was captured on film by ideologists from BelGUT.

The administration of the Belarusian State University of Transport has published a photo on its website showing “Flagstok” identified a secret facility currently under construction in the Gomel District.

The ideologues wanted to show how the unpaid labor of female “activist” students from BelGUT is being used. They were painting interiors for OJSC “Gomel House-Building Plant.” Moreover, the construction site was simply referred to as “the facility.” As journalists previously discovered, in government procurement documents, the term “facility” most often refers to the construction of a military town in the Gomel District near the village of Pribor, with the same housing construction plant frequently serving as the contracting authority.

The photographs show the results of the students’ work: wall murals. One of the photos features a wide window with a striking view of reinforced concrete frames against the backdrop of a pine forest. In the Gomel Region, there aren’t many construction sites that resemble the construction of a military town for the Belarusian Special Operations Forces.

Most likely, the photo was taken inside a building serving as the military town’s social and cultural center (it has a yellow roof in the satellite image).

The photo indicates a high degree of readiness of the military town’s key structures, as well as ongoing large-scale construction.
