Dmitry Medvedev , Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Security Council , responded to the detention in Montenegro of Mikhail Zvinchuk, administrator of the “Rybary” Z-public group. He threatened to detain U.S. and European citizens in Russia with the aim of “replenishing the exchange fund.”

“Now, we’ll probably have to replenish the exchange fund to get our people out,” the official said. According to him, in Europe, “hunting season has potentially been declared on all Russians,” and “they can arrest anyone.”

Medvedev concluded his remarks with a proverb: “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.”
