Andrzej Pochoebut On The Political Crisis In Poland: The Conflict Is Being Fueled In Moscow And Minsk

  • 1.11.2026, 11:07

The more Polish society is divided and at odds with itself, the better it is for the enemies of the Western world.

Andrzej Pochobut , a former political prisoner, journalist, and activist with the independent Union of Poles in Belarus , responded to the political crisis in Poland:

“I’ve reviewed the reactions of Belarusian and Russian propaganda to the events surrounding the Constitutional Tribunal in Poland. The outburst of joy and satisfaction was easily predictable. The mechanism has been the same for many years: the more political chaos and scandal there is in Poland, the greater the satisfaction in Minsk and Moscow.

They do not support either side of the dispute over the Constitutional Tribunal. Their interest lies elsewhere: to fuel the conflict, deepen divisions, stir up emotions, and destabilize Poland. The more polarized and divided Polish society becomes, the better it is for them.”

As a reminder, on the evening of Friday, October 30, a judge of the Polish Constitutional Tribunal announced the suspension of the tribunal’s president and his deputy. Following this, protests began in Warsaw, and President Karol Nawrocki returned to the country on an emergency basis.
