Special forces landed on the dry cargo ship.

On the evening of October 30, Swedish special forces carried out an operation aboard a dry cargo ship linked to Russia.

This was reported byTV4.

Journalists learned that at the start of the special operation, the ship was in the Baltic Sea off the northwestern coast of the island of Gotland.

During the inspection, law enforcement officers examined the crew members’ documents. This was reported by Karina Skagerlind, spokesperson for the Stockholm Police District. She declined to specify the nationalities of the sailors or to disclose further details of the operation.

At the same time, according to media reports, the ship’s crew consists of Russians, presumably residents of the Kaliningrad region. It is there that the company operating the dry cargo ship has its representative office.

Journalists speculate that the Swedish law enforcement’s interest in the vessel may be linked to suspicions that the company is involved in Russia’s hybrid activities and intelligence operations.

It is known that the company’s ships have previously been spotted in areas where unidentified drones were later discovered. According to the TV channel’s sources within European intelligence agencies, these drones are highly likely to be operating on behalf of Moscow.

It is worth noting that this operator’s vessels have already been subjected to inspections and searches on multiple occasions in various European countries.

According to Russia’s ambassador to Sweden Sergey Belyaev, since the end of 2025, Swedish authorities have detained five cargo ships with Russian citizens on their crews. The diplomat made this statement in mid-August. Subsequently, two of the detained vessels were released.
