The incumbent president is leading in the second round.

In Bulgaria, where the second round of the presidential election is taking place on Sunday, November 1, the first exit poll results have been released. According to the results, incumbent President Iliana Yotova is leading former interim Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov.

This was reported by the website BNT News.

According to preliminary results, Yotova has 51% of the vote, while Gyurov has 44.7%.

Voter turnout, according to BNT News, stood at 26.8% as of 8:00 p.m.

The first round of the Bulgarian presidential election took place on October 25. At that time, exit polls also showed that Iliana Yotova, an ally of former President Rumen Radev, was ahead of pro-Ukrainian interim former Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov (35.3% for Yotova and 32.4% for Gyurov).

Third place in the first round went to the leader of the pro-Russian far-right party “Revival,” Kostadin Kostadinov.

Iliana Yotova became president of Bulgaria following the voluntary resignation of Rumen Radev in January 2026.

On January 23, Radev formally left the presidential residence through the ceremonial entrance, and since then his powers have automatically passed to Yotova. She became the first woman to serve as head of state in Bulgarian history. Iliyana Yotova also became the first woman to serve as Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the country’s Armed Forces.
