At the same time, this decision is based on our responsibility for the safety and well-being of the players, team staff, and their families.
We believe that, under the current circumstances, a game against Russia could expose our players and team staff to significant safety risks. Therefore, their mental health, well-being, and personal safety are our top priority,” the association stated.
