The fire forced the marketplace to change its operating hours.
The Russian marketplace Ozon has once again faced problems due to a drone attack. This occurred in the wake of previous fires, the damage from which the company has already estimated at 30.1 billion rubles.
On the night of November 4, 2026, drones attacked Ozon’s logistics center in Adygeysk, located in the Republic of Adygea in southern Russia. A fire broke out on the complex’s grounds. Employees were evacuated; according to preliminary information from the company, no one was injured.
Russian media reported by Russian media, citing Ozon’s press service and the ASTRA Telegram channel. However, there is no independent confirmation of all the circumstances surrounding the attack yet.
The company reported that all employees were promptly evacuated from the building following the attack. Emergency services are currently working at the scene of the explosion to deal with the aftermath of the fire.
“We promptly evacuated all employees; according to preliminary reports, no one was injured. A fire broke out, and emergency services are on the scene,” the Ozon press office said.
Due to the damage to the complex, the company has temporarily changed its logistics operations. As a result, following the attack, the company has temporarily stopped accepting deliveries from sellers at the damaged logistics center. Goods that were already in transit are scheduled to be rerouted to other warehouses.
In addition, goods stored at the damaged warehouse will be removed from the marketplace catalog. The company plans to fulfill some orders from other logistics centers, while those that cannot be delivered will be canceled. At the same time, the company stated that customers can place orders as usual—they will be fulfilled at other logistics facilities.
Incidentally, the previous attack on the Ozon marketplace’s logistics center in Adygeysk occurred on August 24, 2026. At that time, the company reported the evacuation of employees from its facility, but the warehouse and goods were not damaged.
Ozon estimates damage from the attacks at billions of rubles
The new attack occurred amid a series of strikes on the company’s logistics infrastructure. In its financial report for the third quarter of 2026, Ozon reported that since August, fires of varying magnitudes had occurred at 11 of the company’s logistics facilities as a result of drone strikes. Due to these incidents, the marketplace set aside estimated reserves for losses totaling 30.1 billion rubles. This amount includes damaged goods, losses from the write-off and impairment of equipment, as well as other expenses.
Ozon clarified that some of the assets were insured and the company is currently discussing the possibility of compensation with insurance companies; however, the final amount of the payouts is not yet known. In its financial statements, the marketplace warned that insurance compensation may turn out to be significantly less than the actual losses.
At the same time, 30.1 billion rubles is the estimated loss from incidents reflected in the third-quarter financial statements. This figure does not account for the new attack in Adygeysk on November 4.
Which warehouses of the Russian company Ozon were attacked by drones: geography of the strikes
Since August 2026, the Russian marketplace Ozon has faced a series of drone attacks on its warehouse infrastructure. The first strikes targeted facilities in the Samara and Orenburg regions, and subsequently, reports of attacks, fires, and employee evacuations came in from other regions of Russia. For example, on October 24, the marketplace’s logistics center in Omsk, Russia, was attacked. According to the company, employees were evacuated, and a fire broke out at the facility. Products from that warehouse were removed from the catalog; some orders had to be canceled, while the rest were shipped from other logistics centers.
The first of the widely publicized attacks on Ozon’s logistics infrastructure occurred on the night of August 22. On that occasion, drones attacked the company’s warehouse complex in the city of Chapaevsk in the Samara Region. A fire broke out at the facility following the attack, and operations at the center were suspended. According to the company, people were injured in the incident, and employees were evacuated. It took two days to fully extinguish the fire.
The following day, reports emerged of damage to Ozon’s logistics center in the Orenburg Region. The region’s governor stated at the time that drone debris had damaged two industrial facilities, one of which belonged to the marketplace. The company reported the evacuation of more than 300 employees and the temporary suspension of warehouse operations.
