CNN: Zelenskyy Receives Positive Signals From The New U.S. Congress

Elected officials openly support Ukraine.

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with CNN stated that he is receiving encouraging signals from representatives of the Democratic Party and politicians who will take their seats in the new U.S. Congress.

These signals come in the wake of the recent U.S. elections, in which the Republican Party suffered a crushing defeat.

According to the Ukrainian president, these politicians openly support Ukraine, do not attempt to equate it with the Russian Federation, and directly call Moscow an aggressor.

The current administration of U.S. President Donald Trump openly declares its neutral mediation between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

Zelenskyy also noted that they are not prepared to agree to the transfer of Ukrainian territories to Vladimir Putin. The Ukrainian president emphasized that, based on such statements, Kyiv expects further strengthening of U.S. support.

At the same time, the current policy of the ruling Republicans, led by President Trump, is to distance themselves from providing aid to Kyiv. Furthermore, Washington is gradually beginning to lift anti-Russian sanctions.
