NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that once the war in Ukraine ends, he plans to “drink himself into a stupor” with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He made this statement on the Dutch television program “Pauw & De Wit”.

“We’ll get drunk with him somewhere in the Swiss Alps. We’ll sit on a mountaintop and drink until we pass out. That’s our plan,” Rutte said.

The NATO Secretary General shared that he had already discussed this with Zelenskyy and promised to bring red wine to the meeting. According to him, the Ukrainian president had previously mentioned that he wanted to relax in the Swiss mountains after the war ends.

Rutte also stated that he sincerely respects the Ukrainian president and that they consult with each other every week.
