The Russians were trying to advance into the territory of Sumy Region but were ambushed, the 8th Corps of Airborne Assault Troops reported.

According to the corps in Telegram, this happened near the village of Yablonovka. The enemy assault group of 22 infantrymen fell into a pre-prepared ambush by units of the 71st Independent Airmobile Brigade, which had intelligence on the movement of the occupants.
