Estonian Intelligence Made An Important Statement On Russia's Attack On NATO Countries

Europe should invest in defense and internal security.

Russia does not intend to launch a military attack on any NATO state this year or next, but will continue to rebuild its armed forces, fearing European rearmament.

This is according to an annual report by the Estonian Foreign Intelligence Service.

Estonian intelligence expects the forecasts to remain unchanged next year, as Europe has taken measures that force Russia to carefully calculate its actions against NATO countries.

"Europe must invest in defense and internal security so that in the future Russia will conclude that it has no chance against NATO countries," the head of the intelligence service, Kaupo Rozin, told reporters.

He said Russia will focus its efforts in the coming years on stopping Europe's rearmament.

"We see that the Russian leadership is very concerned about Europe's rearmament, they see that Europe may be capable of conducting independent military action against Russia in two or three years," Rozin said.

In intelligence estimates, Russia is seeking to expand cooperation with the United States to ensure the lifting of U.S. sanctions.

"Despite this illusory thaw, Russia's goals remain unchanged: it seeks to marginalize the United States and NATO and reshape Europe's security architecture in line with Moscow's vision," the report said.
