In Somalia, A Plane Carrying 55 Passengers Crashed Shortly After Takeoff

A StarSky airline plane with 55 passengers on board crashed minutes after taking off from Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, in the Indian Ocean coastal area near the airport grounds. This is reported by Daily Mirror.
According to the publication, the plane had technical problems after takeoff, the board returned to the airport. On landing, the plane rolled beyond the runway, into the sea. The craft suffered damage to its right wing.
Rescue services arrived on the scene within minutes, a fire was avoided. Somalia's Civil Aviation Authority said all crew members and 55 passengers survived. An investigation into the cause of the crash has been launched.
The airport temporarily suspended operations, then resumed normal operations.
