Drones Bombed The Lukoil Refinery In Volgograd For The Ninth Time

On the night of February 11, residents of Volgograd reported numerous sounds of explosions in the city. At that time, the local Lukoil refinery was attacked by attack drones.

A large-scale fire broke out on the territory of the plant as a result of the attack, the Russian publication Astra reported.

"According to ASTRA's analysis of footage from eyewitnesses, the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka plant in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd was hit and caught fire," the report said."

Astra journalists estimate that this is the ninth attack on the Volgograd refinery since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The strike on the company was confirmed by the governor of the Volgograd region, Andrey Bocharov.

"Tonight air defense units of the Russian Defense Ministry are repelling a massive terrorist drone attack on energy and civilian infrastructure facilities in the Volgograd region. In Volzhsky, damage to an apartment in a residential building at 75 Karbysheva St. and the fall of a UAV on the territory of the Yagodka kindergarten were recorded, as well as a fire on the territory of a factory in the south of Volgograd," Bocharov noted.

He said there were no casualties as a result of the attack.

At the same time, videos of the moment of impact and fire at the Volgograd refinery have circulated online.
