Drones Hit Defense Plant In Russian Federation's Tambov Region

On the night of February 12, Michurinsk in Russia's Tambov region was subjected to a massive drone attack. After a series of explosions, a fire went up on the territory of the Progress plant.
The products of this plant are actively used in airplanes, helicopters and missile systems. "This is the second time Progress has come under attack, monitoring channels reported, writes "Focus".
The drone raid on Michurinsk was reported in local Telegram channels at around 00:40 hours. Eyewitnesses claim that there were at least 12 explosions in total.
Subsequently, there was also information in publiki about smoke and fire in the industrial district of Michurinsk. Russians wrote about massive UAV hits on the city's infrastructure. The network also showed footage from the scene.
At the same time, the network reports that the Russian air defense in Michurinsk "worked" on civilian objects. Information is being spread about damage to a local shopping center as well as a hostel.
Officially, local authorities have not commented on the massive attack on the Tambov region at the time of publication.
According to open sources, the Progress plant in Michurinsk is one of the largest enterprises operating within the Tambov region of the Russian Federation. The plant manufactures high-tech equipment for aircraft and missile control systems, in particular:
gyroscopic devices for stabilization and control;
cursor pointers and autopilots providing navigation and automatic flight control.
angular velocity sensors and other elements of piloting and navigation systems.
The plant is considered part of Russia's military-defense complex, as it actively introduces new technologies into the Russians' military equipment.
