Sibiga shared some unexpected news.
China will send Ukraine an additional package of humanitarian aid in the energy sector. This was announced by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga after a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
His statement was published on the official portal of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
According to Sibiga, the talks were devoted to several key topics at once. The focus was on peace efforts and China's possible role in helping to end the war.
The Ukrainian minister informed his Chinese counterpart about the current situation on the front, as well as Russia's ongoing attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
Sibiga separately emphasized that Chinese companies operating in Ukraine had also suffered as a result of the Russian strikes. The Ukrainian Foreign Minister thanked Beijing for the decision to provide additional assistance, which will be aimed at supporting the country's energy system.
This is specifically about humanitarian energy aid - it should help Ukraine cope with the consequences of the destruction and ensure stable operation of infrastructure facilities.
In addition, the parties agreed to continue the dialog, and Wang Yi invited Xibiga to pay an official visit to China. In response, the Ukrainian minister invited his Chinese counterpart to come to Ukraine.
