The attention to this was drawn by Ukrainian militaria blogger Necro Mancer, who collects information about Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

He discovered that Yandex Maps had blurred the site of the New Cemetery in Severomorsk as a military facility. The site is about 1,800 kilometers from the territory of Ukraine. At the same time Severomorsk is the main military base of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation. And the burials at the said New Cemetery are clearly related to the losses of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine.

According to satellite data, the cemetery has grown very much since the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Moreover, the Russians have had to allocate additional territory for future burials.

It should be noted that Russian Armed Forces losses are a state secret. The Kremlin carefully conceals the figures of those who died in the course of this aggression. However, it is known that we are talking about hundreds of thousands of people, a record for the country in its modern history.
