U.S. Military Detains Another Sub-sanctioned Tanker

The vessel Veronica III was stopped in the Indian Ocean.
The Pentagon reported the detention of the tanker Veronica III in the Indian Ocean for violating sanctions imposed by the U.S. administration.
The U.S. Department of Defense said in an X, according to European Truth.
The report said the military tracked the vessel from the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean, shortened the distance and stopped it.
U.S. forces conducted a "without incident" inspection, naval blockade and boarding of the Veronica III for violating the sanctions regime.
The Pentagon warned other tankers against trying to violate the sanctions.
"International waters are not a safe haven. On land, in the air or at sea, we will find you and punish you," the Pentagon wrote.
According to the resource of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine War Sanctions, the Veronica III vessel is involved in the illegal transportation of hundreds of thousands of tons of sub-sanctioned Iranian and Venezuelan oil.
