The Ukrainian military has liquidated a collaborator who signed a contract with the Russian army. We are talking about the former striker of Ukrainian clubs and youth national team Sergei Petrov, who was killed during an assault in Donetsk region. This was reported by rossmedia, citing the occupation's "Evpatoria Football Federation".
Petrov officially joined the Russian invaders in the summer of 2025 and chose to serve in one of the assault units. However, he was only able to fight for a few months.
According to open sources, Petrov was born on May 21, 1997, in Yevpatoria, Crimea. He started practicing soccer in Vladimir in the academy "BRV-VIK", after which he studied in Lutsk "Volyn".
It is also known that the footballer played for the youth and youth teams of the club, and later made his debut in the main squad in the Premier League.
In general, Petrov played for Volyn, Zirka (Kropivnitsky), Lviv, Rukh, Metalist 1925 and Agrobiznes, and also played one match for the Ukraine U-21 national team.
After 2022, however, the athlete returned to occupied Crimea, where he played for local teams Aluston and TavriaEnergo. In addition, he played in Uzbekistan for "Mashal" and "Kokand-1912".
