U.S. General Doesn't Believe The War Will End In 2026

Former U.S. Army commander in Europe Ben Hodges believes Russia's war against Ukraine is unlikely to end in 2026. He insists that more pressure on Moscow is needed to end hostilities.

He expressed this opinion in a commentary on "Novini.LIVE". Asked whether he believes the war will end as soon as this year, Hodges said the Russians are not interested in that. He said the Kremlin may agree to a truce only after external coercion.

"I don't see the U.S. government putting that kind of pressure on them, unfortunately," the general said.

Hodges said the Kremlin "doesn't respect Europe enough to listen to them." In his view, Russia will continue the war until it faces strong international pressure.
