Senator Graham On Helping Iranian Protesters: We Must Keep Our Word

Washington should help Iranians free themselves from the regime.
If the U.S. does not help Iranians who were promised support during the mass protests, it will exceed security threats due to possible Iranian actions against U.S. forces in the region. U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham said this, broadcast on YouTube by Fox News.
"Could our soldiers in the region be harmed? Absolutely. Could Iran respond if we launch an all-out attack? Absolutely. I think the risk associated with that is much less than the risk associated with blinking, pulling the plug and not helping people as you promised," the senator told the crowd.
Graham recalled that U.S. authorities "have been asking them to take to the streets, to keep protesting, [saying] 'help is on the way'." "We have to keep our word," he emphasized.
Support for the protesting Iranians was addressed by US President Donald Trump in mid-January. "Iranian patriots, keep protesting - take over government offices. Save the names of murderers and rapists. They will pay a heavy price. I have canceled all meetings with Iranian officials until the senseless killing of protesters stops. Help is on the way! Let's make Iran great again!" he wrote.
