At the checkpoint "Miadininkai" on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border, a citizen of Belarus, wanted by Interpol, was taken off the bus and detained - he was declared wanted by the police of Denmark a month ago. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Lithuania.
31-year-old Belarusian was traveling in the bus Minsk - Kaunas on February 15. While checking the documents of passengers, border guards found out that he was wanted by Interpol.
"Employees of the State Border Guard Service took the Belarusian off the bus and detained him. The foreigner was placed in a temporary detention cell, where he was under constant surveillance. Not an hour later, the crew of the capital's police arrived at "Miadininkai" and took the detainee to the detention center in Vilnius," reported the Lithuanian border guards.
