The Ukrainian Foreign Minister said he supported democratic Belarus after the fall of Lukashenko's regime.

The sanctions imposed by Ukraine against Alexander Lukashenko and his regime are a "relevant, necessary and adequate response to the hybrid and security threats" he poses to Ukraine and the rest of Europe, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sibiga declared on social network X.

He said Lukashenko's regime is "complicit in the crime of Russia's aggression against Ukraine."

"It provided its territory for the attack and continues to help Moscow in its genocidal war against Ukraine - with resources, components, materials, sanctions circumvention and even a system of relay stations to control attack drones," the Ukrainian minister said.

The Foreign Minister urged partner countries to follow Ukraine's example and make sure that Lukashenko "is subjected to adequate pressure for his crimes committed together with Putin, for oppressing the Belarusian people and for depriving generations of Belarusians of opportunities and future."

"We believe in the European future of the Belarusian people after liberation from Lukashenko's repressive rule. In the future, we will be ready to accept a democratic Belarus in the format of the Lublin Triangle together with Poland and Lithuania," Sibiga emphasized.

Belarus belongs to Europe, not to the "Russian world," he stressed.
