Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov will not be in Washington at the "Peace Council" on February 19. This is reported by "Radio Svaboda" with reference to official American sources.

The press service of Alexander Lukashenko said that the dictator received an invitation to the first meeting of the "Peace Council," but he refused to participate, citing employment.

In place of Lukashenko at the event, our country was to be represented by Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov. This was reported by Lukashenko's press secretary Natalya Eismont.

February 16, at a meeting with Secretary of State of the "Union State" Sergei Glazyev, Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarus intends to participate in the activities of the "Peace Council" and its events at the level of "head of state."

- Maybe not in Washington. Somewhere in Europe or in the Middle East, maybe in Israel, closer here, in Turkey, further meetings of this Council will be held. We will participate in it," he clarified.
