It was tested in Ukraine.
German defense concern Rheinmetall has for the first time shown a test video of its FV-014 attack drone, writes Defence Express.
The public was previously shown only exhibition mockups of the device after its presentation in September 2025. Now the company has announced a successful demonstration of the drone for a potential customer - a NATO country. During the demonstration, the drone practiced several operational scenarios, including a simulated attack. The name of the state of interest was not disclosed.
According to analysts, during the first presentation, Rheinmetall reported that the FV-014 already allegedly had combat experience. Given the current security situation, a likely place for such tests could be Ukraine, which is virtually the only country where the latest weaponry is currently being tested in full-scale warfare.
Thereby, it can be assumed that the drone was first developed without wide publicity, and its possible combat tests could also take place non-publicly.
The released footage shows that the FV-014 is launched from a rectangular transport and launch container using a solid-fuel booster. For guidance, judging from the video, the vehicle is equipped with a daytime camera and probably a thermal imager.
