New Zealand Extends Sanctions Against Lukashenko's Regime

An enterprise from the military-industrial complex system fell under the restrictions.

February 21, New Zealand imposes sanctions on Belarusian Alevkurp OJSC, according to the list updated on February 20 on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFA) of this country, reports "Pozirk".

It is noted that the company is "associated with the Belarusian government or military sphere."

According to the information on the website of Alevkurp, the company has been part of the State Military-Industrial Committee since 2007. It specializes in research and development work in the field of development, modernization, creation of new radar systems, the latest technologies of digital processing of signals and information in real time, as well as microwave and intermediate frequency technology.

The MIDT list shows that from October 30, 2025 under the sanctions of New Zealand are, in particular, Concern Belneftekhim and Naftan, which Wellington considers involved in the Russian illegal oil trade.

Before that, "the Belarusian chaat of the Belarusian military-industrial committee" was included in the list of sanctions. At that time, it included JSC "Legmash Plant" (Orsha, Vitebsk region) and KB "Unmanned Helicopters" (Minsk), as well as their managers.

Now under New Zealand sanctions - for supporting Russian aggression in Ukraine - are, in particular, Alexander Lukashenko, State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Wolfovich, the leadership of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and the State Military Industrial Committee.
