Prague said that sport is not only about results, but also about values.

Czech Paralympians will not participate in the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games, as they condemn the admission of para-athletes from aggressor countries - Russia and Belarus - to participate in the Games under national flags and symbols.

This is reported by "European Pravda".

"As long as the aggression in Ukraine continues, Russian and Belarusian athletes have no place in international competitions," the Czech Paralympic Committee said.

The Paralympians emphasized that sport is not only about results, but also about values, which Russian aggression in Ukraine completely denies.

"Therefore, we will join the Ukrainian team in boycotting the opening ceremony," they said.

The 2026 Paralympic Games will be held from March 6 to 15.
