The number of unfilled vacancies has peaked.

Last year in Belarus, there was the most acute shortage of workers for the entire period of independence. This follows from the Belstat database, writes "Zerkalo".

In 2025, the labor market had a record shortage of workers, judging by the number of vacancies announced by employers - 163,794.

The number of vacant jobs, for which new specialists were sought, increased in the late 2010s, reaching a peak in 2019 - 83,571. A year later, the number of vacancies dropped to 71,995. And then began to grow at a more intense rate.

As a result, from 2020 to 2025, the number of reported vacancies more than doubled.
