The occasion was the dispatch of a medical ship to Greenland.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has reacted to US President Donald Trump's announcement of his "health initiatives" regarding Greenland.
Frederiksen wrote on social media Facebook on Sunday.
U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday said he is working with Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry to send a hospital ship to Greenland.
Trump wrote on social media that he was sending a large medical ship to Greenland to help "many sick people who are not getting the treatment they need."
In her statement, Fredericksen did not mention Trump's name explicitly, but her message was obviously in reference to the U.S. president's statement.
"I am glad to live in a country where everyone has free and equal access to health care. Where it's not insurance or state that determines whether you get proper treatment. This is the same approach being taken in Greenland. Have a good Sunday afternoon to all of you!" - the prime minister wrote.
The country's defense minister said earlier that the Danish government had no information about plans to send a U.S. medical ship to Greenland, as announced by Donald Trump. He rejected the claim of any need for outside assistance.
Trump's post on Saturday came hours after Denmark's Joint Arctic Command reported the evacuation of a crew member in need of emergency medical care from a U.S. submarine in Greenlandic waters.
