There's a huge hole in the roof, visible from satellites.
Ukrainian missiles have been confirmed to have successfully hit the strategic Russian Votkinsk plant in Udmurtia.
OSINT project "CyberBoroshno" has released satellite images that clearly show the consequences of the attack, reports Dialog.UA.
The published photos clearly show a large breach in the roof of one of the production buildings. Analysts estimate the size of the damage to be about 30 by 24 meters.
Experts believe the explosion occurred inside the building. This means that the main destruction inside the Russian factory, directly in the production room.
Specialists suggest that the internal areas of the workshop could have been completely burned out. The impact hit building 19. This is a galvanizing and stamping shop. It was here that metal parts were formed, stamped and hull elements for missile equipment were manufactured.
This shop is critically important for the plant's work. In it the basic design of the product bodies is created. Without this stage, further assembly of missile systems is impossible.
The loss of such facilities could significantly slow down production for the needs of the Russian military-industrial complex.
Russian authorities have confirmed the attack on an industrial facility in Udmurtia, but details are not officially disclosed.
On the night of February 21, the Votkinsk plant was struck by Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles at a distance of about 1.3 kilometers from the border. This is one of the deepest missile strikes on Russian territory since the beginning of the full-scale war.
According to the AFU General Staff and satellite monitoring, a fire and damage to production buildings were recorded on the territory of the plant.
The Votkinsk plant was founded back in 1759 by decree of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna. It is one of the oldest industrial enterprises in Russia, it is of strategic importance for the military machine of the Kremlin. Currently, the enterprise specializes in the production of RS-24 Yars intercontinental ballistic missiles, R-30 Bulava naval missiles, 9M723-1 missiles for the Iskander-M complex, and products for the Kinzhal complex.
Factually, it is involved in the aggression against Ukraine, making it a legitimate military target. The plant is under sanctions by the US, EU, UK, Ukraine and other countries as a key element of the Russian military-industrial complex.
