In Poland, A Belarusian Was Charged With Espionage

A citizen of Belarus Pavel T. was charged in Poland for espionage in the interests of the Belarusian military intelligence, he was arrested. This was reported by the National Prosecutor's Office of Poland.
The man was detained on February 9 by officers of the Internal Security Agency.
"On February 10, the prosecutor charged him with participation in the period from June 2024 to February 2026 on the territory of Poland, Germany and Lithuania in the activities of Belarusian intelligence by reconnaissance of critical infrastructure, as well as important for the defense of Poland and the NATO alliance. Pavel T. was interrogated as a suspect. At this stage, information about his procedural position is not disclosed," reported the prosecutor's office.
February 11, the court elected a preventive measure against the suspect in the form of temporary arrest for three months. He faces at least five years in prison for the crime he is accused of.
