Hrodna condemned a major, who, using his official powers, stole almost a million rubles worth of property from his regiment for two years. This became known from the document, which came to the editorial Hrodna.life.

Major I.V. Stasevich, head of communications of the headquarters of the 108 separate regiment of material support, served in the Armed Forces. Using his official powers, for two years he stole the property of the regiment for 984 thousand rubles.

The man stole property from September 2022 to April 2024. A criminal case was opened against him under part 4 of article 210 of the Criminal Code - embezzlement by abuse of authority, committed on a large scale.

He faced up to 12 years in prison.

In December 2025, a verdict was handed down. Stasevich was sentenced to eight years in prison with a fine of 500 basic units (21,000 rubles). He was stripped of his rank of major. He is also barred for five years from holding positions related to the performance of organizational and administrative duties.
