A new round of peace talks between Ukraine and the Russian Federation with the participation of the United States is planned as early as this week.

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kirill Budanov said this at the Justice Conference, according to "RBC-Ukraine".

The day before, the media reported that the talks would take place on February 26. According to Budanov, indeed, the tentative dates of the new meeting are exactly the same.

"I think it has already been officially said that it will be around the 27th plus or minus a day or two. Therefore, the 26th is completely within this period," he said.

The final date of the meeting has not yet been agreed, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine said.

"We are now in the process of preparation. This is a protocol issue, you understand. When, who should come and so on. All three parties must agree on this. 4 parties, in fact, and the host," explained Budanov.

Possible meeting between Zelensky and Putin

The journalists also asked the head of the OP, whether there will be a meeting of the presidents of Ukraine and Russia. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky himself had previously insisted on this meeting in order to resolve the key issue of the negotiations - the issue of territories.
