Lukashenko Signs Decree On Spring Conscription

Who will be drafted?

Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree "On dismissal to the reserve and conscription for compulsory military service, service in the reserve" on February 23, his press service reported.

The document provides for the call-up of male citizens of Belarus in March-May 2026 for fixed-term military service, as well as citizens of conscription age, who are 18 years old by the day of the draft, who have no right to deferment from the draft, as well as citizens of conscription age, who have lost the right to deferment.

At the same time, the decree provides for the dismissal of fixed-term military service, who have served the established terms of military service.
